I wasn't always following the calling on my life. I took a 20 year detour in the Marketing industry navigating multi-million dollar accounts, leading teams, curating wardrobes for commercial shoots, social media, and global print ads working with clients such as Tiffany & Co (YES! The walls were dripping with diamonds and I got to wear a $16 million necklace!), Pepsi, "The Big Game" (I can't say the real name or I'll get sued - BOOOO!), Google, and Rack Room Shoes.

STARTING FROM SCRATCH

I broke my love relationship with the corporate world 3 years ago...the scenic route of my life was over! I was blessed with marketing projects that helped pay the bills, while dreaming of working from anywhere in the world, and attempting to start my own wardrobe styling and image consulting business - except I had no idea how to:

 

  • Curate an enduring wardrobe...my closet was full of trendy items

  • Calculate the cost-per-wear ratio

  • Perform a proper evaluation of the colors that looked good on my skin tones

  • Understand what made me feel sexy or confident (or BOTH) and why

  • Properly invest in my wardrobe (just because it's expensive doesn't mean it's an investment)

  • Define my own personal style

MASTERING MY CRAFT

I dove head first into my overflowing closet, friend's closets, and family members' closets to learn as much as I could about the relationship of people and their clothes. I became proficient at helping them decide what to keep, toss, consign, or tailor to maximize their space.

I walked through local boutiques and the mall weekly to get a lay of the land and understand the inventory. I scoured online sites for men's and women's wear to gain awareness of pricing and fit. I took people on shopping trips to hone my communication skills and challenge myself to find outfits to fit their needs and generate efficiencies in the services I provide.

I refined my knowledge of the custom and bespoke industry.

The steady-stream of clients I've been blessed with have given me the reassurance that they have a REACH+GRAB+GO wardrobe that saves them HOURS of time. Each of them has learned a style strategy that aligns with their lifestyle and brand. They have a cheat code to their personal style success.
